Michelle Marques is an artist and illustrator in Sonoma County, California. She loves working in watercolor, colored pencil, encaustic, acrylic, and gouache.

Michelle illustrated a children’s book called, What Makes You Smile As Big As The Moon? which was self-published in 2020. It was written by her aunt, Margie Kimberley, a retired educator. The book was translated into Spanish in 2022.

Her artwork has appeared in various art shows including Art at the Source, the Healdsburg Center for the Arts, the Railroad Square Music Festival, the National Endowment for the Arts Santa Rosa exhibition, Shop Party, Chroma Art Gallery (now the Santa Rosa Arts Center), and Aqus Cafe.

Michelle’s entry for the Sketchbook Project was featured in the Go Local magazine.

Michelle has also worked as a graphic designer and webmaster, creating posters, postcards, brochures, tickets, and more for various clients including the Studio Santa Rosa, the California Artisan Cheese Festival, Blind Scream Haunted House, and Wine Country Big Q.
